Today, our lecturer tasked us with creating a Venn diagram categorized into "what you good at", "what gives you meaning" and "what makes you happy". The purpose of this exercise was to build upon the insights gained from our previous workshop discussions, particularly the eight provocations. However, I found myself veering off track, delving too deeply into my research and ending up with a result that was too broad and lacking in specificity. Despite this, the experience had its silver lining, as it allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of my values and personality traits.
Following the completion of the Venn diagram, our lecturer guided us into the next activity: a 15-minute free writing session. During this time, we were encouraged to express our aspirations for the year, our goals, as well as any regrets or uncertainties we may have. I found myself pouring out a plethora of thoughts onto the page, hoping to capture the essence of my initial intentions. This writing session held significant meaning for me, as it provided a platform for me to articulate thoughts and feelings that I had never shared with anyone before. I only hope that I can retain the essence of what I wrote, as it holds great personal significance to me.
