Week 12 Tutorial

This week, I started on a digital project which is a storybook. I sketched the storyboard in my sketchbook and refined it with my lecturers' guidance. Later, I transferred the sketches into Illustrator to trace them out. Initially, I tried using watercolor and crayon on my storyboard, but it did not turn out well and even spoiled the drawings. I also tried scanning the watercolor art onto the computer, but that didn't work either.

Therefore, after discussions with my lecturer, I concluded to go for a minimalist approach and make the best of it. However, experimenting with watercolor was fun, and it would definitely work out better if I used a more suitable paper material instead of my sketchbook. Here are some of the illustrations I made this week.
