After thinking wisely for sometime, I want this project to be a tribute to my late mother, Wang Ai Ping, who hailed from Heilongjiang, China, and passed away on October 17, 2021. Rather than mourning her death, this endeavor aims to celebrate her life by delving into what drove her forward. I want to showcase her passions and treasures that fueled her spirit, allowing her to live authentically. As I graduate, I realise the importance of confronting her absence and honoring her immense influence on my journey. She was my unwavering support, and now, I want her to be my first client in this creative endeavor.
I have several projects in mind that I'm considering for my graduation. These include creating an art collage, crafting clay dumplings, and paying tribute to yoga. My best friend suggested these ideas to me, as I found it challenging to approach them alone due to the pain of losing my mother. However, I've made the decision to embrace these projects as a way to bid a final farewell to my mom and to begin the process of moving forward and finding true happiness once again. I am eager to develop these works as they hold significant personal meaning to me for my graduation project.
This is merely an initial concept. I still require additional guidance from my lecturer through tutorials to explore how I can expand and refine this idea before seeking approval.
